We’ve heard from a number of car wash owners. Their chemical management is time-consuming and inaccurate. Some tell us they mix the chemicals which they receive from the supplier by hand, measuring out and pouring it into the water tanks. Others have remarked, they dump it in until it “feels right”. I’ve had customers tell me they diligently mix the concentrate to the correct proportions, but feel tied down to the wash because of it. Still others don’t mix it at all. Opting to attempt drawing it straight from the concentrate pail, hoping the metering tip will be small enough not to waste chemical, but not too small as to clog.

There are better ways. One is to use a chemical injection system that will automatically mix the product in the correct proportion with water and stores it in a tank, to be dispensed to the chemical distribution system for that product. This method accurately proportions the product with water, keeping a constant level automatically. You simply ensure there is a concentrate there for it to access. This is both time saving and cost-saving as you don’t need to do any work mixing and the solution remains consistent. In most cases, one Chemical Mixing Station per product is sufficient regardless of the number of bays it is servicing. The product air pump runs off your compressed air system and feeds directly to your water flow into the high-pressure pump in the case of soap or wax. Into the distribution system for your other low-pressure features.
